    Yes, with your internet connected television you can watch VIEWSTER anytime. Otherwise hook up your PC or Mac to your TV and use it as a monitor. Then use the Leanback option to navigate our site.

    Please refer to the user manual that came with your television, generally either via Wifi or with a LAN cable.

    No registration is necessary to watch free movies. If you want to watch a movie against payment you need to register your personal and payment data or login if you have previously registered.

    As the film plays you can scan forward or backward, view the menu, or pause the film and watch it later. Films available for single purchase are available to view within 48 hours.

  • How do I find a film on VIEWSTER?

    VIEWSTER makes it as easy as possible for you to find the film you want. You can search by genre, film title, actor or director. When you have chosen a film you can select the corresponding streaming speed for your device with the play and/or rent/borrow button, and then view your single payment transaction.

  • Can I search for videos offline without an active internet connection?

    No, you must be connected to the internet to use VIEWSTER.

  • Can I save films onto my device?

    Most mobile devices allow this, but TV sets generally do not have sufficient memory.

  • Does VIEWSTER work without an internet flatrate?

    You need an internet connection to access VIEWSTER on your internet ready television. In order to avoid unnecessary extra costs with pay-as-you-go tariffs, we recommend an internet flatrate.

    The cost of VIEWSTER single purchases and subscriptions does not include the costs of streaming. Without flatrate or after exceeding your volume limit, you will be charged by your internet provider.

    Yes. We take data security seriously and guarantee that your personal details remain secure.   • How soon can I find new movies on VIEWSTER?

    The VIEWSTER team works around the clock to extend the existing catalogue, so there is no specific time we upload new videos. Instead we try to upload new films as soon as we can after we have obtained them. Due to licencing restrictions many movies only appear 3 months after their cinema release and are only available for a limited time period.

  • Can I request new titles for VIEWSTER?

    Yes, please. Your feedback is an important part in helping us to improve the service for you. If you'd like to suggest or request a film, you can do so through the contact form.

  • Why aren't all videos available free of charge?

    Unfortunately, due to licence restrictions we are not able to make all films available free of charge. This is particularly the case with some new feature films, which we are only permitted to make available as one off purchases or rentals. Where we have the option we will always allow you to watch our content free with advertising.

  • Why aren't all cinema films or DVD releases available on VIEWSTER?

    We try to offer the largest range of titles from all the biggest film studios as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, due to licencing restrictions this is not always possible, but we're working hard to make our catalogue as exciting and as up-to-date as possible.

    Simply log in to VIEWSTER and under 'MyVIEWSTER' select the 'Transactions' link to view your transactions and invoices at any time.

  • How do I redeem a promotional code?

    From time to time we like to create special offers which you'll be able to redeem with promotional codes.

    You can do this during the registration process or by clicking the link below.

    If you have redeemed a promotional code, you will receive a PIN for video credit. You can use this within the given validity period for any available VIEWSTER rental video in the VIEWSTER shop. Your chosen film will be available to you for 48 hours.

  • What is HD?

    HD' is short for 'High Definition' and means high resolution digital television. VIEWSTER videos in HD quality have a resolution of 1280x720 (720p) and a variable bitrate of 6-8Mbit/s.

  • Which videos can I watch in HD?

    VIEWSTER is working around the clock to provide a broad range of HD films. You'll recognise HD content by the small HD logo on each video's details page.

  • How much do HD quality videos cost?

    Due to the higher streaming cost caused by HD quality movies, HD videos are sold as a premium.

 

Digital Rights Management

  • What is Digital Rights Management?

    VIEWSTER is obliged by Digital Rights Management (DRM) to protect the authorship and marketing rights of intellectual property in digital form. Examples of the restrictions placed on us are rental periods of only 48 hours, not being able to copy movies and not allowing parallel streams to different devices from one account.
