The Big Gay Musical
USA | 2009 | 96 min. | Rated: --
It is a gay- comedy. Actors Eddie and Paul have just started their previews for 'Adam and Steve Just the Way God Made Them', an Off-Broadway musical. They find that their lives are similar to their portrayed characters. Paul is on the hunt for the perfect soul-mate. However, after a debacle of a date, he realizes that he doesn’t want to date anymore and wants to be promiscuous like the sexy chorus boys of his green room. Eddie, on the other hand, is clueless about how to blend his sexuality with his faith. He has to reveal his homosexual status to his conservative parents. He also has to tell them that he is acting in a show that terms the Bible as the ‘Breeder's Informational Book of Living Examples.’ Eddie’s parents are shattered by the news that their son is gay. Paul, in the meantime, cannot even have a decent one-night stand. Finally after a retelling of Genesis, musical scores with scantily dressed tap dancers, a set of showtunes and a camp that tries to transform gays into straight, everyone understands that life can get better by happily accepting their real identities.
